I applaud your ingenuity in using (and posting) the toll free number.
 
However, by using it, you put yourself in the same moral boat that you
claim he is in.   At least the religious right is willing to pay, aren't
you?  Do archeology issues have no value to you?  Get real.
If professionalism is being sneaky, then you will make one hell of an
archeologist, historian, or used car salesman.
 
If I am to make a stand on any issue, I would prefer to pay my own call.
