I remember a BBC programme on 'The History of Sex' which
included video histories of people remembering sex in the 1920s and
30s.  Contacting the BBC might get you in touch with the producer
and researchers.  The thing I remember was that then condoms
weren't throw-away items: you washed them out and used them
again.  Which begs the question: how did you know that it
was a used condom?
