Sue: interesting case. Of course, a couple of things jump out:
1) every 30 days: I saw your post that she was amennorheic
practically until becoming preg, but still wonder if perhaps her
hormonal level changed enough to "flavor" her milk, leading to
less effective sucking by baby, which could lead to mastitis?
2) the summer break: did the baby nurse more frequently in the
hot weather for liquid refreshment, causing the milk to move
better, breaking the mastitis cycle?
