Friends, colleagues, countrymen...

For those who followed the database thread on HISTARCH two weeks back, you
may be interested to know that an SHA session has evolved out of it. The
session came together under and after the deadline, with a gracious
extention by the SHA organizers. The purpose of the session will be to
introduce topics of data management and open a forum for discussion and
free exchange of ideas. The database is a powerful tool for the
archaeologist, perhaps as important as the trowel and tape measure. I am
looking forward to an engaging session, and extend an open invitation to all.
