Greetings:
At the Southeast Archeological Center of the National Park Service, we a
processing an archeological collection from an 19th Century
plantation--located in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
The question we have is a follows:
Tradition states that liquor and other sprits are often bottled in dark
colored glass containers to prevent the break down of the alcohol.
Does anyone have a published reference that would support or refute
this statement?
Thank you for this or any other information you may provide.
