Dear Sir,
I realize that the thief is the main problem; however, the
underlying problem is the lack of funds needed to properly maintain
this museum. I am an assistant curator at a small museum that has
certain artifacts that if lost or stolen would be irreplaceable. We
are on a limited budget, but we are able to provide certain security
precautions (i.e., locked doors, security systems, and some one
on the grounds during open hours). I do not blame the cureator, but
the bureaucracy involved. Wouldn't you concede to ethical blame on
the thief's part and negligence on the part of the museum?
Thank You,
Melinda Estridge
