Dear List Members:
Have recently surface identified two cans with trade mark embossing
associated with a 1904 railroad construction camp in southern Nevada.
One can measures 2 1/4" high x 2 3/4" diameter and is embossed with the
word BISHOP. It is thought that the can is either an evap/condensed
milk can or perhaps a chocalate syrup. The other can measures 3 3/8"
high x 3 1/8" diameter and is embossed with PIETRO RONCHORONI / NEW
YORK. This can was opened in such a way as to suggest the contents were
either a fruit or vegetable. Any suggestions as to contents, place of
origin, and additional research sources would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.....ww
