Lucas Vazquez de Ayllon was the second to get the asiento for La Florida
(Juan Ponce De Leon was the first). His colony of San Miguel de Guadalpe
only lasted a couple of months before it was abandonned shortly after
Ayllon's death. It is believed to be located along the coast of Georgia or
South Carolina but has not yet been located. You might look at Paul
Hoffman's "A New Andalusia" for more information. Hope this helped a little
