Alyssa--You might check out Charlie Reinhart's thesis--USC (uh, as they say
down here in South Carolina, the REAL USC) 1990-something. It is available in
Stan South's "Volumes in Historical Archaeology" publication series (call him
at 803-777-8170). Charlie dealt with religious relics from Michigan. Also,
Stan South's "Santa Elena Artifacts" volume has a section on religious
artifacts.
Good Luck, Carl Steen
