The 1991-92 AAA Guide to Departments of Anthropology (the last edition I
have handy today) indicates that only Boston University in the US has a
separate Department of Archaeology. The same guide indicates that Simon
Fraser University (Burnaby, BC) and the University of Calgary (Calgary,
AB) each have a Department of Archaeology. The University of Saskatchewan
(Saskatoon, SK) has a combined Department of Anthropology and Archaeology.

Mary Ellin D'Agostino notes that UCLA also has a Department of
Archaeology. Is this a recent development? or did the AAA Guide miss it?
