Years ago we did some observation with crownwetch as a food source
for bees. In our conditions this crop was a splended source of pollen
and was visited by numerous honey-, bumble- and solitary bees. Despite
the fact that bees inserted their tonques into flowers no measurable
amounts of nectar could be obtained by the capillary method.
