Regarding Colections and Surfer...
 
Re:discovery has a fuln archaeology module that has fields for grid
co-ordinates and will invoke Surfer from the artifact screen passing the
necessary numbers. We are also developing links for GIS software and Auto-
Cad. Surfer is widely used outside of the archaeology community as well.
I would be interested in knowing what it's competitors are?
