-- [ From: Lewis, Lynne G. * EMC.Ver #2.5.02 ] --
On the off chance that I am not the last person on the list to make this
discovery, I'd like torecommend a great website:
www.amazon.com
They bill themselves as the world's largest bookstore (2.5 million volumes)
and one can order, etc. right over the internet (secured). They will also
search for a requested book (with no requirement to accept it once found).
I first used it when someone (pardon, but I forget who) recommended M.
Christian's "Negro Ironworkers in Louisiana." It was of interest and sure
enough, I was able to find and order it though amazon.com. - and receive a
20% discount on it! Since it's a special order I'm still waiting (but they
warned me), but other books I've ordered have been received in 3 business
days.
For those of us working out in the boonies, or who just plain love books, it
is a treasure of a site. Do a keyword search on "historical archaeology"
and see what they've got!
Have fun,
Lynne G. Lewis
