Susan,

The American Museum of Frontier Culture, Staunton, VA., is an excellent
living farm, although their areas of emphasis don't exactly match yours.
They interpret, from the "homeland" point of view, an Irish, English and
German farm. These are then blended in the 1858 American Farm, Shenandoah
Valley style, showing how the aforementioned cultures influenced what became
the typical Valley farm. They plan to add a Swiss farm in the near future.

All venues use first person interpretation. They have an excellent research
dept., headed by Dr. Katharine Brown, Director of Research.
