Elliot Richmond,
I got the joke. Many do not read past the 1st line or read what they
think they want to read not what is written. E-mail message are full of
these 'mis-understandings'. It makes me question what people understand
of their reading at any time.  A good reader like a good listener
seems to be the exception.
