Greetings!
I am a collections technologist working on the threatened
collections project for Parks Canada in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Part of our
"mandate" is the development of site specific reference collections. These
collections contain a representative sampling from the site as well as the
more intact objects. Currently we organize the artifacts using functional
categories that can trace their origins back to Sprague (sorry, I don't
have the reference infront of me).

So, are there any "better" ways of doing this? Anyone else doing this
with archaeological collections?

The sites completed to date are Fur Trade (Hudson's Bay Company) and
North West Mounted Police Posts. I will post details on the collections
later. Gotta run!
