I agree on this statement! Over here the distinction between historic and
prehistoric archaeology is mainly based on political reasons of a rather
black period of Dutch archaeology.
In theoretical development between the two branches of the discipline there
is a difference though. Prehistoric archaeology is much more active in this
aspect then historical archeology.
