I am against a merger of SOPA and SAA. They perform two distinct services
and have different constituencies. SAA is also trying to take over the
Underground newsletter. (For those of you who do not know, the Underground
is published in motel rooms in the northeast by field techs who say some
timely but pretty outrageous things that would never get by SAA. It is also
free. ) SAA has its place and is superior at what it does, but I think it
is getting out of its depth when it wants to take over SOPA, the CRM trade
association, the Underground, etc.
