Dear Lucy Wayne,
We recently published in Northeast Historical Archaeology an opinion forum
consisting of 3 pieces about relocation of historical cemeteries/burials,
with contributions by Jim Garman of the Public Archaeology Laboratory of
Pawtucket, RI, Ed Bell of the Massachusetts Historical Commission, and Paul
Robinson of the Rhode Island Historic Preservation Commission. I suspect
that any of these three individuals would be happy to correspond with you
about the situation you confront. Contact me off-list for addresses, or at
[log in to unmask] for information about ordering the relevant back issue of the
journal.
Best regards,
Mary B.
