Since no one seems to be in a mood to respond to this I can give you some
limited information. There was a publication which was published some years
ago (and still is available I believe) from Ballena Press. It is entitled
"Great Basin Atlatl Studies" by T. R. Hester, M.P. Mildner and L. Spencer.
it is Balena Press Publications in Archaeology, Ethnology and History No. 2
(1974). It has four articles covering a variety of aspects of atlatls.
