       My father-in-law, who is 75, remembers that Wonder Bread was always in
a plastic wrapper, never in the brown waxed paper wrapper. According to the
ENCYCLOPEDIA OF BRAND NAMES, Wonder Bread came into existence in 1925.
       I am waiting to hear from a source whose father was a baker in that
time period. None of the books mention the date of the switch from wax to
plastic.
