When I was junior floatation chappie for Tom Shay at the University of
Manitoba we were using a variety of industrial solvents and foaming
agents. It was hell on the hands. Are you talking straight soaking in
distilled water only? There was a similar discussion on ARCH-L a while
back (missed most of it). We could probably check the archives.
