Contact Al Sageudo at the shoe shop at Colonial Williamsburg
(804) 220-7645 ex.2543. Al has conserved alot of
archaeologically recovered shoes (17th-19th century) from the
U.S., and is a "shoe guru" of sorts. If he can't help, his
extensive contacts through the Cordwainers Company (shoemakers
guild) and other international bodies of "shoe studiers" should
be just the ticket.
