Lyle Stone's report on the excavations at Fort Michilimackinac
contains photographs of several bone handles marked in a
similar fashion, although I don't think he made any
attributions to specific makers.  There are also similar
handles in the collection of the Fort Ligonier Memorial
Foundation (site c.1758-1766) in Ligonier, Pennsylvania.  I
would also suggest that you give Richard Guthrie at the
Anderson Forge at Colonial Williamsburg a call, he has looked
very hard at 17th and 18th-century eating utensils and might
offer some useful insights.
