          Thanks for the tip.
 
          Do you (or anyone else out there) have any specific
          information pertaining to tanyards or tannery operations in
          the late 1700s or early 1800s?  I have access to an
          unstudied site whereon there was a tanning operation from
          1797 to 1856.  There is a cursory description of the
          operation based on 1857 court records.  I have little
          knowledge as to how such operations were commonly organized
          or the best approach for an archeological search of the
          site.  Any help to get a study started in the right
