I missed Pfeiffer's previous post, so cannot comment on whether it was a
"diatribe" or not. I certainly would not characterize Mary Ellen's post as
such, for she was right on target.
I would add that misinformation is not much better than no information.
Jack Tod [1 "d"] died several years ago. I believe some of his publications
are still available from a Eldon Gish, a Texas collector, but would have to
check at home for
his name and address.
Reverting back to the question of information requests, there is a vast
difference between Pfeiffer asking for information on insulators and a college
freshman posting to the list, "I have to write a term paper on archaeology.
Can you give me any good references." I think that that was Mary Ellen's main
point, and she is entirely correct.
