Thanks for the plug, Kevin. Christy, our anthropology and archaeology
program may not be, as you say, "awe-inspiring," but it IS a fine, and
comprehensive undergrad program with some very good faculty who will
help you to follow whatever direction you choose. Each year we send
students on to some of the best grad schools in the country. We have
strong links with African American Studies, a new program in the
Caribbean, one of the largest and oldest archaeological research
centers in the Middle Atlantic states, and an archaeological field
school that is, in my humble opinion, nothing short of
"awe-inspiring." If you'd like advice about another school, please
come by and see me, but I'll try to convince you that VCU is an
excellent place to get an undergrad education in anthropology.
