Hello all!
On a recent survey here in Columbia, we recovered what a padlock made
(I think) out of brass. It is on the front of the hasp are the words
"YALE & TOWNE MFG. CO." On the back of the hasp are the words
"MADE IN USA." There is a spring- loaded keyhole cover with a serial
number ("D1625 1/2"). The key would have been of the "skeleton"
variety. There is a loop attached to the base with a small length
of rusted chain attached. If anyone can help me locate references, I
would appreciate it. The University library here is sparse. BTW: I
have a gif of this if anyone actually needs to see it.
Please reply to me directly rather than bogging down the list with
this.
Thanks!---------------------------------------------------
