I would not discount temperature, unless you carried your luggage
on board. If you checked your bags, the luggage was put into the
storage holds, which although heated, are not maintained at room
temperature as the cabin is. I think a typical temperature in the
holds is to hit in the 40 degree F range. That may have been enough to
trigger the crystallization.
