I have been approached by the DeKalb County, Georgia, Historic Preservation
Council (it's only a few months old) concerning local ordinances for the
protection of and how to deal with archaeological sites. I know that Sue
Henry was doing something with this a year or two ago, and I have left a
message for her. In the meantime, has anyone else out there run into such
local laws? St. Simons Island has one which is pretty intrusive, and New
York has had one for a long time but what else is there? Any input would be
helpful. If you could upload a copy of any ordinances that would be even
better!! 8-)
