People,
        I wanted to let you know that we now have about 285 subscribers. As
the semester/quarter gets underway, I expect to have more people signing on.
So, a few comments are in order.
         If you get a note saying that you have been deleted from the list,
and you have no idea why (i.e. you didn't unsubscribe), please send a note to
me. I get all the bounced mail messages, and if a address keeps bouncing mail,
I tend to delete it after the first week. Another bounce problem is when a
system refuses mail or a mailbox is too full. I will wait a short period of
time on these to make sure it is not a fluke, and then I will delete the
address. Occasionally, I will set the offending address to nomail instead. You
should get a notification of that right away.
         I never delete anyone for doing "something wrong". So far this list
has been remarkably clear of flames and debris that show up on other lists
(knock on wood!). :)
