Regarding B-72....... Depending on the solution strength, it can
also be used as an adhesive, thus killing two birds with one stone.
My main complaint with B-72 is that it requires large quantities of
acetone to make the solution (and you'd better be in a well ventilated area),
and making the solution can be a pain and a half. Also (alright, make that
several complaints), I've yet to find a satisfactory colour dye to make white
B-72, and finally, if you leave it on the shelf for too long, it can form
rather frustrating bubbles on the numbering surface.
For all that, I understand that B-72 is archivally sound, and is
certainly worth investigating as a potential labelling alternative. Just
don't expect a perfect alternative!
