Here is a reference I have on insulators:
Insulators: A History and Guide to North American Glass Pintype Insulators.
by John and Carol McDougald 1990. In the front of the book when I used
it (from the Iowa City Public Library) the following information told how
to obtain a copy of the book. The McDougalds, Box 1003, St. Charles, IL
60174-1003. $45.00 plus 3.50 postage and handling.
I have not purchased a copy so I do not know how speedy they are but we
were able to identify and date the glass insulators from our project
using this book.
