I don't have any solid leads for you but I would suggest checking
with the following sources.  IBRA (International Bee Research Assoc.)
is sure to have contacts in that part of the world and I believe that
they are based in the U.K.  Additionally, there are monthly bee journals
published in South Africa, maybe they will have some leads for you.
