   For this type of question, you can refer to Eva Crane's excellent 1983
book, T HE ARCHAEOLOGY OF BEEKEEPING (Cornell Univ. Press, Ithaca, NY).  I
don't know if the answer to your specific question is in there, but I would
be surprised if it was not.
