Of my two colonies, one has been slow to build up due to a queen problem.
The bees solved that problem and raised a new queen. Smart bees, eh?
This colony is in one brood chamber now. Its not overcrowded. I have not
put a second chamber on it as I have no spare frames with drawn comb.
I have the following questions:
1. Can these bees successfully overwinter in one brood chamber?
If so, is there anything that I should do or know about?
2. Can I aggressively feed syrup to stimulate the bees to draw
comb to fill up a second chamber?
3. Will the bees be redirecting any energy to drawing comb that
that would have spent doing other important pre-fall/winter
chores?
