I love the perfume of propolis (tropical propolis, at least in the Yucatan,
is odourless..... pity). Up here in temperate Eastern Canada, the smell
is strong. I detect the same smell coming from areas where poplar or aspen
trees are numerous. Perhaps propolis here is gathered from these trees only.
I love the smell so much, I tried mixing proplis with some white rum. I let
the concoction sit for weeks, shaking it at times, like our brazilian friend
suggested we do. After what seemed a great deal of patience, I poured
myself a stiff one.
Conclusion: Apply rum-propolis mixture to diseased skin and not to mouth.
