The suggestion to leave the name and location of your institute (or home) some-
where in a message is good enough. But a small problem is that if a system has
some option to automatically generate a reply "envelope", everything in the
header is fixed. You can still change the header lines, but this is not to
be generally recommended, because you may inadvertently change something vital
in the address.
Probably a better thing is to have a separate file, containing the whole of
what the French call the "salade de la fin", In the system to which I am logged
(an IBM mainframe, VM) this file should have as filename the user identifier
(a429will, in my case) and as filetype "SIGNATUR". After you are ready with
your message all you have to do then is to position the cursor in the command
line and type SIGN. (But be sure that you really were at the end of the note,
otherwise the whole "salad" will appear in the middle of your text!)
I hope this works in other systems as well!
