What is the species of Artemesia you are using, is it A. vulgaris?
A. vulgaris (commonly called mugwort in the U.S.) has a number of
interesting properties, but I had not heard of using it for smoke
( it is also a noxious weed, be careful of planting it!).
Furthering the discussion on nitrous oxide, I also recall another
caveat for its use: it has the effect of erasing the bee's memory.
I think it used to be used to gas bees in alfalfa fields to make
them relear the territory and work the alfalfa.
