My take is that the rna did not cause death immediately. What they were after was varroa mortality. However we don’t know long term effects on the colony , especially the brood. What if the larvae or pupae are affected in unanticipated ways? This could be observed in field trials with full colonies. In my view the beekeepers hives will be the Guinea pigs. Which is wrong.
