Thanks Pete, hopefully RG Richmondā€¯s article will put this thread to rest.  The method used for the upper entrance I acquired when buying out a retiring Beek.  Those darn holes in the handhold gave me so many stings in the fingers until I bought a length of dowel & a close cutoff saw to put me out of my misery. Yet another reason to run single box brood chambers.
