>>"Can Honey Bees Feel Pain?"
The knowledge base and own experience dictate that the so-called nociceptors are responsible for physical pain after an injury. It is a type of pain from a nerve ending. So, the answer can be very simple, if I want to know if a species feels physical pain, it should have these similar endings in its anatomy. Does the bee have them? If even on an adequate level, they feel pain.
I have seen pesticide poisoning in my own apiary. Unpleasant sight, very intense poisoning. Adequate movements corresponding to convulsions were observed. I would tentatively say that the nerve endings around the muscles will be present.
