Maybe others on the list have a more nuanced understanding of chemistry, but I can't see where the cited study supports the above claim.
From the study:
> The quality of food for overwintering success and bee fitness is essential; it also impacts resistance to diseases [35]. According to the results of a two-year field trial, the best fitness parameters and the lowest prevalence and intensity of nosematosis, a common bee disease, were found in colonies fed with honey compared to other substances (sucrose, inverted sugar and wheat starch syrup) [35].
