Good point. This is true for the sourwood yards I mentioned in an earlier
post. They have a very high capacity and are "safe" during the sourwood
flow (assuming there is a flow, which is a separate question), but outside
of that window are susceptible to a number of other stressors including
high moisture and bear pressure. The timing of entering and leaving those
yards is an important management decision.
