> "Science" is the process of precisely measuring exactly what went wrong
with one's experiment.

I tell my assistants that if the outcome of an experiment is what we
expected, it is only validation what we thought would happen, and we didn't
really learn much new.
On the other hand, our regular "WTF" moments mean that we have something to
better understand or discover.
