While I can certainly appreciate there being a difference in opinion based on the information presented, it is my very humble view the discussion would be better facilitated by:
1. Presenting research to the contrary and/or:
2. Responding with specific critiques to the examples cited.
And I suspect some of the differences in opinion might be found in how one defines epigenetics. A search of the term online brings up myriad definitions from many a reputable source.
At least in the sense of the information previously presented and the general topic under consideration, I'd submit we're talking about the general idea of how environmental influences affect the expression of genes.
