I thought bee stings helped prevent arthritis!  I have cured myself of 'tennis elbow' (lateral epicondylitis), a form of arthritis, by applying the sharp end of a bee to the painful point for a slow count of 120 (2 minutes) to get a full dose. It went red for a couple of days but then got better and so did the elbow and it didn't return.  When I had tennis elbow previously, it went on for several months until, eventually, the doctor gave me an injection.
