A lot of work and analyses of nutritional value of pollens from the
spring and fall in Iowa and Arizona. The feeding of the four possible
pollen types to bees from two different queen sources seems a bit
"overdesigned" and not very informative. It might have been more
valuable to throw the analytical effort at what may have been happening
to bees in their native colonies under the contrasting local seasons
(or lack thereof).
