That’s is 100% correct, but you don’t even have to actually prove it might work. Just that its unique and not covered
FYI the patent office got their hands slapped real hard over patents on algorithms. 10 years ago getting a patent was pretty fast (about 2 years) Since the court ruling, they are over critical on everything, and the process is running about 4-5 years now. I have 3 in the works that are going on 3 years and not even had the first level review granted.
