I think what makes us even consider this question seriously is the widespread misuse of the word, science, in statements like, "The Science Is Settled", and in "Follow the Science" when what is clearly meant is "Don't question me", or "Follow the money".  Those abuses are a scam.

Overuse and misuse of the word brings the word into question and even into disrepute.   

Do we need a new word?  Maybe a secret one?
